The Evolutionary Catalyst theory proposes that anomalous experiences—including contact with non-human intelligence, UAP encounters, and consciousness-expanding phenomena—function as accelerants for human psychological, cultural, and potentially biological development. This framework draws on transpersonal psychology, evolutionary theory, and the philosophical work of Sri Aurobindo and Pierre Teilhard de Chardin to suggest that contact events serve purposes beyond mere visitation or observation.

Individuals reporting close UAP experiences frequently describe subsequent changes in worldview, increased interest in environmental and spiritual concerns, enhanced intuitive or psychic capacities, and reduced attachment to conventional materialist values. The theory suggests that contact experiences may represent deliberate interventions in this evolutionary trajectory—external catalysts introduced to accelerate development that would otherwise require millennia of gradual cultural evolution.

Thomas Kuhn's analysis of scientific revolutions demonstrated how anomalies accumulate until prevailing frameworks collapse and are replaced by new worldviews.
