Three spherical luminous objects visible in the MH370 footage aren't drones, flares, or digital artifacts in Forbes' analysis. They are macroscopic high-energy plasma structures: self-contained, electromagnetically confined spheres of ionized matter operating at temperatures and energy densities associated with nuclear fusion. Their coordinated flight in triangular formation around a Boeing 777, their stable luminosity, and their apparent ability to induce a terminal event place them outside any publicly acknowledged technology.

Forbes identifies their physics as Field-Reversed Configuration (FRC) fusion. In an FRC device, a plasma is heated and compressed into a self-organizing toroidal magnetic field structure: a compact, self-confined configuration that requires no external magnetic coils for sustained operation.

Aneutronic boron-11 (proton-boron, or p-B11) is the fuel, Forbes argues: a fusion reaction producing charged alpha particles rather than neutrons, making it radiologically clean and enabling direct energy conversion without massive shielding. NASA's Breakthrough Propulsion Physics program explored this same reaction pathway in peer-reviewed literature.

Internally, Forbes describes a polyhedral structure: a geometric arrangement of magnetic cusps forming a stable confinement geometry. This aligns with the polywell concept developed by the late Robert Bussard under Navy funding, a polyhedral arrangement of magnetic coils creating point-cusp confinement that Bussard claimed achieved beta-one conditions (where plasma pressure equals magnetic pressure), a threshold conventional tokamaks have never reached.

YBCO (yttrium barium copper oxide) high-temperature superconducting magnets, developed since the late 1980s, provided the engineering breakthrough, Forbes contends, that made practical manufacturing of compact fusion devices achievable within classified programs.

In Forbes' framework, the connection to the Nimitz "Tic Tac" encounter of 2004 isn't incidental. Navy pilots reported instantaneous acceleration, trans-medium travel, no visible propulsion surfaces, all consistent with a plasma-sheathed vehicle eliminating aerodynamic drag through ionospheric boundary layer manipulation. Forbes argues these are the same class of object, produced by the same program, witnessed a decade apart.
