Definition

Aneutronic fusion reaction between protons and boron-11 that produces three helium-4 ions and soft X-rays with minimal neutron radiation. Considered ideal for advanced propulsion due to charged particle products (directly convertible to electricity) and absence of radiation hazards. Boron-11 is the 10th most abundant element in seawater.
